Last year Daniel Craig caused a scandal when he said he would rather "break this glass and slash my wrists" than play James Bond again. Now, after much speculation that the actor will not be reprising his lucrative role as 007, Craig has taken that statement back after explaining that he was just having a bad day.
Speaking at The New Yorker Festival on Friday night, Craig – who was sporting a new bleach blonde hair do – said of the wrist-slitting revelation: "They say that s--- sticks, and that definitely stuck. It was the day after filming [stopped on Spectre]. I'd been away from home for a year."
Craig, who has reportedly cited the impact of Bond's gruelling filming routine on his family life as a reason to stop playing the agent, explained that he was worn out from the physically demanding role.
