Captain Lucas Neill says the Socceroos are keeping things low-key ahead of one of Australia's biggest ever matches in the Asian Cup final.

Neill and his teammates are out to capture Australia's first major men's international trophy in Saturday's (Sun morning AEDT) clash with Japan at Khalifa Stadium.

But the defender says the Socceroos are not letting the excitement of the occasion get the better of them.
